One of my favorite treats when I was a kid was chocolate covered Pringles. Believe it or not, a chocolate shop in my hometown would make these sweet and salty delicacies and I couldn’t get enough of them. We all know Smokin’ Mary Bloody Mary Mix makes the perfect Bloody Mary for every occasion, but what happens when our sweet tooth gets the best of us? Well, worry no more. Just whip up some of this candied bacon and add it as the perfect garnish to your already perfect cocktail.

Candied Bacon Garnish
Ingredients:
- Thick sliced bacon (1 piece per cocktail is our recommendation. Don’t overcrowd in pan)
- White sugar (The more sugar, the sweeter the bacon! We recommend about 1 tbsp per slice)
- Cayenne pepper (This is optional, but spice it up with a pinch per slice)
Instructions:
Place strips of bacon on baking sheet lined with parchment paper for easier cleaning.
Liberally sprinkle the top side of the bacon with white sugar.
*optional – sprinkle bacon with cayenne pepper
Bake at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes. Be careful to watch the bacon, some bacon may cook faster and burn. You will know when it is done when it looks crispy and the sugar is bubbling and caramelized on the strips.
Remove from oven and place on a plate or piece of parchment paper to cool and harden before adding as a garnish to your cocktail.
